Funding and Purpose
In January, MACS awarded a £10,000 grant to support a training course for Palliative Care Initiators in course run by Ndi Moyo. MACS has previously funded the training of course facilitators, so this grant enabled those participants to share their knowledge with others.
Course Participation
The five-week course was attended by 35 participants, including:
- five new members of staff; and
- a doctor from Zambia.
Demand was high, and not everyone who applied was able to secure a place.
Trustee Feedback
Photographs capture the training in progress. A visiting Ndi Moyo trustee shared the following reflections:
“I saw about a week of the training (sadly not the practical part because of the dates I was there) and felt it was of high standard, using both our own staff and invited speakers. The role play (shown in a couple of pictures) was fun, and the atmosphere between students was very positive.”
