MACS has an ongoing relationship with Chilema Ecumenical Centre.
Most recently, we converted a decrepit classroom into a Library. MACS has also supplied the furniture and has given numerous grants towards books. Books are expensive in Malawi and many more will be needed. We are very grateful to a particular group of churches whose continued support for Chilema makes a regular difference.
Update
With the purchase of new books, Chilema has the beginnings of a library. During visits in 2025 trustees and supporters were able to purchase books online in the UK and take them out to Malawi to hand over to the appreciative staff at the college.
