MACS Constitution

In 2019 at our Annual General Meeting, it was agreed that MACS change from being an unincorporated charity to a CIO. This was done on the advice of the Charity Commission and with the full agreement of our supporters. It meant that we had to change our Charity number but not the aims and objectives of the charity itself. It does mean, however, that the trustees are the “members” and everyone else is a supporter. We still hold an annual supporters’ day, very similar to that done by the original charity, though since Covid-19 we have remained online. This enables far more supporters to attend our meetings from far-flug corners of the globe.
