Staff salaries are paid by the government but treating patients involves running costs that are not covered by patient fees which have to be small if they are to be affordable at all.

These hospitals, founded by Anglican missionaries, have operating theatres, laboratories pharmacies. They promote better health in rural communities through their outlying Health Centres. Their staff are tremendously hardworking but need support if they are to fulfil their hopes for their patients.
